Castle in the hills of Bologna

Motorhome Rental Bologna

Bologna is an ancient city famous for its university, for its artistic history and for its delicious culinary tradition. Strolling through the streets of the historic centre, you will be amazed by the amount of historical and religious buildings scattered throughout the city, such as the Basilica of San Petronio and the iconic Asinelli Tower. Bologna also hides many little-known corners, such as the small window on the canal in Via Piella, which is very reminiscent of Venetian views. In the centre, there are also many restaurants where you can taste the delicious traditional dishes of the city. We recommend you to go to Osteria dell'Orsa if you want to taste the famous tagliatelle alla bolognese or tortellini with chicken broth.

Getting to Bologna

Bologna is the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region and is located in the southeastern part of the Po Valley. Guglielmo Marconi Airport is the arrival point for many flights from all over Europe. Airways and Ryanair operate flights all year round, with higher prices in the summer (flight time from London: 2 hours). Bologna is well connected to other Italian cities by the motorway network, the most convenient road being the A1 which connects Milan to Naples. Bologna Centrale station is located near the centre and allows you to reach other Italian cities with numerous daily routes operated by Trenitalia and with high-speed lines to national and international destinations.
