Hanover can easily compete with other major cities in Germany for campervan hire. You can book city sightseeing tours with a double-decker bus with an experienced tour guide in Hanover. Festivals, art exhibitions, museum visits and events offered throughout the city are great to see when you rent a campervan in Hanover. Highlights in Hanover are, for example, the so-called “Herrenhäuser Gärten” (manor house gardens). They comprise altogether of four different gardens: the centre attraction is the “Große Garten” (big garden), which ranks among the most famous gardens in a baroque style in all of Europe. The lavishly landscaped and meticulously laid gardens are certainly worth a visit. The Altwarmbüchener Moor (moorland landscapes) that spreads over 15 km2 is also worth a trip – you can either walk or bike there. The airport in Hanover is in the city district of Langenhagen; it connects the city with international and domestic destinations with 55 direct flights by airlines such as Condor, Eurowings, Lufthansa, Ryanair, and SAS.
Parking with a campervan hire in Hanover is possible in the centre in Maschsee car park. The lot is located directly on the lake and free of charge. Other parking for campervans include Am Großen Garten 3. This lot is also in a central location, however, there is a fee of €20 per day. If you travel to Hanover during trade show times, parking is available for campers at the exhibition grounds opposite Hall 13 for a fee of €9 and €12 per day. You may also find parking for your campervan at the lake Altwarmbüchen – in a pleasant location and free of charge. If you are lucky and find a sufficiently large enough space, you may also park directly on the roadside in Hannover, which does not cost anything.
