Rent the best campervans and motorhomes in Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is formed from the six north-east counties of the island of Ireland, and unlike the Republic to the south and west, it is one of four constituent nations of the United Kingdom. The capital is Belfast, which includes the Titanic Quarter and the region’s best shopping. Just a short drive away are areas of stunning natural beauty, including The Dark Hedges (from Game of Thrones), coastline including County Antrim’s Giant’s Causeway UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Lough Neagh. The largest freshwater lake in the UK, it provides almost boundless waterborne activities, from fishing to birdwatching.
No less than eight restaurants in Northern Ireland have at least one Michelin star. However, you don’t have to spend big to sample the region’s traditional cuisine. Start the day with an Ulster Fry, which comes with soda bread, eggs, sausage and potato cakes. At other times of day, look out for Irish stew, a slow cooked blend of lamb and vegetables, sometimes served with a side of champ (mash potato with spring onion).
