For first time campers, we would highly recommend not getting manual transmission. We would also highly recommend some orientation and recommendations in regards to how to enhance the camping experience so that it’s not so stressful.

Overall a good experience, good and swift pickup, a new van which has a few issues however we were made aware of these prior to leaving the depot and it wasn’t anything that caused any issues throughout our two week trip. A full tour and insight into how to work everything on the van was given at pickup. Again, drop of was swift and easy. Extra 5L of adblue left in the storage compartment of van on drop off as adblue had dropped to 75% full on journey to dropoff, made staff aware and offered to fill it up myself, however staff were adament this should have been filled up prior to drop off and stated ‘other depots would not be so lenient’. Unsure of what the problem was as I was offering to fill it up myself and had already purchased the adblue. Otherwise, no issues, enjoyable trip. Would definitely recommend to others.

Honest internet folks. I did a rather large amount of research before and all of the different options had both 5 and 1 star reviews to include indie campers so I was hesistant. Honestly it was a great experience overall aside from the apparent disconnect between corporate and the local team in Auckland New Zealand but I think that’s everywhere. Overall a 4.8/5 stars. Would rent again.

Very good experience, the vehicle was new! When we had issues we have been supported from the local team, Just the online chat could be improved.

Our Quest camper van was clean and fully equipped. We used all three beds, which worked out great. Staff were great when we checked out and checked back in. The quest has the same utility as a mini Winnie in the US, just the kitchen is slightly smaller. Highly recommend, would rent from them again.

My family and I had a great experience with Indie Campers , the vehicle exceeded our expectations , it was very comfortable, very clean and it had all what we needed. The space was good for the 5 of us , the mattresses and seats were nice and comfortable too.

Philip was excellent and super helpful at the pick up point in Auckland, as were Kate and Andrew at the drop off in Christchurch. I had the most amazing experience driving through New Zealand, and made memories I will treasure for the rest of my life.
